The Bipolar I Spouse

When you are married to a Bipolar I spouse, you just never know what to expect or when to expect it!!! One morning I awoke (2008) to find handwritten notes taped on the walls and counters all over my kitchen. These notes informed me of how stupid I am and that everything I do (as a mother/wife) is completely wrong! I can only imagine how much time he spent writing them and taping them up. He was manic at this point and had insomnia, so I doubt he slept that night.
Pay mind that these notes were written in very large print with a permanent black marker, and some notes taped together because they were several pages long. To top it all off, he used the permanent black marker to write across the front of my stove-top to inform me that stoves are HOT and I should only cook on the back burners. Then on the kitchen counter tile in front of the sinks he wrote a message about HOT water.
After I found the notes, he started to rant and rave about the content in the notes. I did my best to control my actions and not respond to his words and tone, I just wanted it to end. Finally, he finished and left. The children had been present during this episode and could not believe what they had heard. They knew what their father had been saying was not true. So, we took down the notes (i put them in safe keeping for future use) and then I used my MAGIC ERASER by Mr. Clean and made the marker on the stove and counter disappear. Yes, I paid for that later in the day during this manic episode.
Each manic episode varied on how long it would last.... hours, to days, to weeks........

I AM GOD!!!

One spring day back in April of 2009, my husband decided he was GOD! He told me that he was God, and that I was the mother of God's children. He had a brilliant idea that would save us all and take us safely into the afterlife, to Heaven. An angel had given him an idea and he was going to save us!
